Yesterday, I came into Montgomery to celebrate a weekend full of wedding festivities. I am in a wedding for my friend, Rebecca Barrett. So, I went to my grandparents house in Montgomery to get showered and ready to attend a Bachelorette dinner/party Thursday night. I love getting to see my Nana and Pop. They are so precious in the way they show love to one another. When I got there, Nana did the normal grandmother routine. You know, the one where they ask us 32 times if we would like anything to eat, drink, look at, wear, cover up with...etc. It's almost overbearing how generous and concerned grandparents can be. They display the BEST attitude of servants of anyone. I love IT! Anyways, I read a familiar plaque in the bathroom:
Grandchildren- the reward for not killing your teenagers.
So, I thought about it and rewrote the saying for myself:
Grandparents-the reward for putting up with your parents.
I absolutely LOVE my grandparents and the way they love me unconditionally. Even though I don't get to see them as much as I would like, I value our relationship and pray that they will receive blessings in their days now more than ever. I love you Nana and Pop.
